so I was in A.C.Moore, the craft store and "accidentally" (ahem!) wandered
down their polymer clay aisle. Whoa! This new formula by Sculpey was
on sale; and the colors were delectable!
These are the six I bought:
Buttercream
Butterscotch
Avocado
Pomegranate
Peacock and
Patina

I didn't have time to try it right away, and didn't want to, anyway.
It just looked so pristine and pretty and full of promise, there in
the package.
But finally it lured me to try it....
Of course, it was only then that I decided to see what the polymer
clay community is saying about it. And it doesn't sound great.
Despite its looking more sophisticated in the smart packaging, I'm
not so sure it's an improvement over the plain old Sculpey III.
It's very soft and un-Premo-like. I tend to want to sculpt
things. And one of my first ideas to use it was caning.
Reports are that it tends to crack and break if too thin.
We'll see... I have a piece cooling as I write...
All I know is... I don't love mixing colors, and here are these,
ready and wonderful. And since I have six packages,
I WILL find a WAY to MAKE these WORK!
